UCareer Recruitment Co.

SEP - OCT 20

Brief

This is a college project asking to design a type-based brand identity and an app.

Validating the problem

UCareer is targeted at any gender between the ages of 20 – 35. These students come from diverse backgrounds and find it harder to find employment because of it.

Goal

To make every student feel like they have a chance at a career despite their background.

Solution

I created a recruitment company that links university graduates from minorities and diverse backgrounds with career opportunities using an app. I made the brand identity friendly, bold and youthful to appeal to the younger audience.

PROCESS

Strategy & Research Insights

From my research, I concluded that the young audience needed a bright, fun brand but with a hint of professionalism to appeal to them. The competitor research shows that there are no apps currently in the market targeting minority graduates, leaving an opening in the market.

User Persona

From research, I’ve concluded that these minorities are primarily uneducated but this could change. If they saw other people from the same background graduating from college and obtaining jobs through this program, it would encourage a lot more people to become educated. I focused on making an appealing message through Instagram ads and a website to encourage them to use the app.

User Flow

The user flow helps to understand how the user will travel through the application to complete a specific task.

High Fidelity Wireframe

I put my sketches onscreen. I didn’t focus on colour as I find it distracting in the UX process.
